Certificate II in Transmission Line Construction

At Health & Safety Advisory Service, we are committed to advancing workplace health and safety (WHS) standards through innovative and practical training programs.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge to work in the electricity supply industry (ESI) as a Transmission Line Construction Worker. It covers assembling transmission structures, installing hardware and stringing transmission overhead conductors prior to being tensioned and terminated.

Workers with this qualification may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace.

High risk work (HRW) licences are required for dogging work and rigging activities as detailed on the SafeWork website.

Entry Requirements

Prerequisite:  Students must hold CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (white card) Other requirements:  Relevant project inductions

Health & Safety Advisory Service offers credit transfer for statements of attainment and qualifications issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in Australia. To apply, you must provide original or certified copies of documents and agree to verification processes. Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) transcript can also be used for recognition.

We also offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for those who have relevant prior knowledge or experience through formal, non-formal, or informal learning. To apply for RPL, you must:

  • Demonstrate relevant prior learning and experience
  • Provide proof of formal or non-formal training, or informal learning
  • Submit authenticated documents or work samples
  • Show current skills in an interview or observation

You may also be eligible for Smart and Skilled funding to supplement your course fees.
