Course Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to lead teams and individuals by modelling high standards of conduct to reflect the organisation’s standards and values.

The unit applies to individuals who are making the transition from being a team member to taking responsibility for the work and performance of others and providing the first level of leadership within the organisation. These leaders have a strong influence on the work culture, values and ethics of the teams they supervise.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Health & Safety Advisory Service offers credit transfer for statements of attainment and qualifications issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in Australia. To apply, you must provide original or certified copies of documents and agree to verification processes. Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) transcript can also be used for recognition.

We also offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for those who have relevant prior knowledge or experience through formal, non-formal, or informal learning. To apply for RPL, you must:

  • Demonstrate relevant prior learning and experience
  • Provide proof of formal or non-formal training, or informal learning
  • Submit authenticated documents or work samples
  • Show current skills in an interview or observation
