Course Overview

This qualification is designed for individuals responsible for coordinating and maintaining a Work Health and Safety (WHS) program within an organisation. Perfect for supervisors and managers, it equips you with a comprehensive knowledge base and advanced skills to manage WHS programs across a wide range of contexts. Entry Requirements

Prerequisite Units: 

All BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety core units or equivalent competencies.

  • BSBWHS412 Assist with workplace compliance with WHS Laws AND
  • BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes AND
  • BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management AND
  • BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems AND
  • BSBWHS416 Contribute to workplace incident response

Other Requirements:  There are no other requirements for entry to this course.

Health & Safety Advisory Service offers credit transfer for statements of attainment and qualifications issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) in Australia. To apply, you must provide original or certified copies of documents and agree to verification processes. Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) transcript can also be used for recognition.

We also offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for those who have relevant prior knowledge or experience through formal, non-formal, or informal learning. To apply for RPL, you must:

  • Demonstrate relevant prior learning and experience
  • Provide proof of formal or non-formal training, or informal learning
  • Submit authenticated documents or work samples
  • Show current skills in an interview or observation
