Certificate III in Work Health and Safety (WHS)

The Certificate III in Work Health and Safety provides training for those people with part-time or voluntary WHS duties such as Health & Safety Representatives, WHS Committee Members and WHS assistants. It is an entry point into WHS studies for anyone interested in developing their skills in WHS.
On successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a Certificate III in WHS, which will then assist you to gain employment in the health & safety area.
WHS Consultation Skill Set
A 2 day training program for workers who are part of a HSC or those who play an active role in WHS agreed procedures. The course is called Consultation Skills for HSCs & Agreed Procedures, and units are drawn from the Certificate III in WHS and can be customised to suit the specific needs of industry/PCBUs.
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS)

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety provides training for people who wish to upgrade their competence in, or wish to become WHS trainers/assessors, safety officers, auditors or supervisors with significant health and safety responsibilities.
On successful completion of the core units the participant will be able to: ensure compliance with WHS legislation in a workplace, including identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risk; participate in consultation on WHS issues; and in general, contribute to a systematic approach to dealing with WHS and incident response procedures in the workplace. Generic workplace skills in writing complex documents, research & analysis and presentation preparation/delivery will also be enhanced.
On successful completion of this qualification you will be issued with a Certificate IV in WHS, which will then assist you to gain employment in the health and safety area.
Diploma of Work Health and Safety (WHS)
[BSB51319] – Recognition/self-paced delivery
The Diploma of Work Health and Safety provides qualification for people specialising in health and safety management or for managers with a strategic responsibility for WHS in their organisation.
The course focuses on the systematic management of health and safety including consultation and participation, hazards and risk management, investigation and management systems. It also addresses such issues as plant hazards, information systems and emergencies.
