Certificate II in Resources & Infrastructure Work Preparation

The Certificate II in Resources & Infrastructure Work Preparation provides a qualification for people who are carrying out mainly routine tasks and procedures in the resources & infrastructure industry using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge and taking some responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.
It is a pathway course that can prepare participants to undertake a Certificate III in their selected industry sector, for example, drilling, civil construction or mining.
On completion of this qualification, participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Certificate II in Resources & Infrastructure Work Preparation (RII20120).
Certificate II in Civil Construction

This course is for individuals who work in an operational role in the civil construction industry. It has also been designed as a traineeship and participants may be eligible for Smart & Skilled funding.
This course provides the basic knowledge and skills to work in an operational role the civil construction industry carrying out prescribed tasks under supervision. Completion of the following 16 units in total is required for completion of this qualification.
Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations

This course provides knowledge and skills to operate civil construction plant and work safely and effectively in a civil construction environment.
Certificate III in Civil Construction – General, Pipelaying, Tunnelling
[RII30920]
This qualification is designed for skilled operators working in a general civil construction or tunnelling environment.
This course provides knowledge and skills to carry out general civil construction operations individually and as part of a team. Completion of 25 units in total is required to achieve this qualification.
